Last weekend, my sister came up to visit for her birthday weekend.  Lately, I get to see her twice a year, not nearly enough, but this was worth the wait because she shared her birthday with me and I got to share a little of what I love most with her.

Rob and I returned to this great little 50k (Rattlesnake 50k) this weekend.  It’s a perfect summer race with a low-key, have fun, get-out-the-lawn-chair-and-watch-everyone-finish atmosphere.  The course itself takes you over a respectable amount of steep, long climbs and descents that are just perfect for our Mont Blanc training.

You know, the one you pass by and never take so often you that you almost don’t even think about it anymore?  Next time you see it, take it.  Even if it’s short like the ones I took this week, the change in perspective helps you see things from a different and refreshing angle.
